This painting was created from a 5am sunrise just minutes south of Myrtle Beach SC. Beautaiful sky with reds, oranges and yellow from a rising sun. I waited for about 30 minutes for some signs of color and then I wasn't disapointed A brilliant red and orange sky fading into the blue above with traces of pinks and reds in the soft wispy clouds at the top. The beach was slmost deserted with no one out but me and the sandpipers. This is the scene I was waiting for. I hope you will enjoy seeing this beautiful sky at the beach. It is framed with a 4 inch gold Plein Air style frame which brings out the colors of the sun and reflections.

AUDREY MCLEOD - BIOGRAPHY Audrey McLeod has lived in the "Lowcountry" of South Carolina all her life. Even as a child she would be found drawing or painting and "making Art" in various ways. After high school she was accepted into an art school but went on to college, majoring in business. She continued to paint, taking workshops and studying with many prominent artists in the Carolinas and Georgia. Building on these lessons learned and encouraged by many friends, collectors, and instructors, she continues to pursue her art. Instructors have told her to "paint what you know and paint what you love". So, the scenes she creates focuses on color and light.
