The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I witnessed this awsome scene one morning at Myrtle Beach SC. It always is a time of reflection for me while I wait for the colors of a new day to appear. It is very early and still very dark when I begin my vigil. First I see a sligt reddish glow at the horizon, almost non existent at first sighting. Very slowly it becomes a more prominate glowing red, gradually begining to lighten and lifting further into the dark sky above. In just a few more minutes, I begin to see the oranges coming into the reds. The water below also begins to lighten from the almost black color to a deep blue that will continue to become the blue that we recognise as the ocean color. I begin to see the colors in the brilliant sky begin to reflect into the flat surfaces of the moving water and on to the wet sand at the water's edge. The water begins to be more active as the sun gets closer to the horizon and the shore birds also begin to start flying around more in their search for the small things they want for...

AUDREY MCLEOD - BIOGRAPHY Audrey McLeod has lived in the "Lowcountry" of South Carolina all her life. Even as a child she would be found drawing or painting and "making Art" in various ways. After high school she was accepted into an art school but went on to college, majoring in business. She continued to paint, taking workshops and studying with many prominent artists in the Carolinas and Georgia. Building on these lessons learned and encouraged by many friends, collectors, and instructors, she continues to pursue her art. Instructors have told her to "paint what you know and paint what you love". So, the scenes she creates focuses on color and light.
