Artist's Description

This scene is a marsh that I see when I travel south to Charleston SC, It is about 20 miles north of Charleston S.C. in the area of the Wando River near Awendaw SC. There are several of these Palmetto trees growing in this marsh grass, Most of these trees have been there a long time and have stood the effects of many wind storms. It is a very unique piece of our lowcountry marshes. I am always impressed with how the colors of the sky are reflected on the water. The afternoon sky is always different and is constantly changing with the wind currents and shadows within the clouds.,
A Blue heron hides at edge of grass, can you find him?
I see this area as very beautiful at any time of day. This original is a 1 1/2 inch deep gallery wrapped canvas without a frame giving it a contemporary look. Of course a frame could be added. Thank you for looking at my art work.

Instructors have told her to "paint what you know and paint what you love". So, the scenes she creates focuses on color and light. The scenes vary and may be those of coastal landscapes and trees, local wildlife or...
